Why Fundfinder NZ exists

KiwiSaver is one of the most important long-term financial decisions most New Zealanders make, yet comparing funds can feel overwhelming. Provider websites, jargon-filled factsheets and conflicting headlines make it hard to see what really matters: fees, risk, returns and fit for your goals.

Fundfinder NZ was built to cut through the noise. We combine clear educational guides with practical calculators so everyday wage and salary earners — and self-employed New Zealanders — can explore their options with confidence.

What we do

We publish independent, educational content and tools. Our fund finder, PIR checker, fee calculator, first-home toolkit, self-employed planner and retirement-income guide are designed to explain concepts, not to sell products.

Fund data is sourced from FundCompare NZ and the FMA Disclose register and refreshed regularly. We date-stamp our assumptions and link to official sources so you can verify the numbers yourself.

What we don't do

We are not a KiwiSaver provider, bank, or licensed financial advice provider. We do not manage money, open accounts, or recommend a specific fund based on your personal circumstances.

Everything on this site is general information. Before switching funds, making contributions, or making any financial decision, consider speaking with a licensed financial adviser and reading the relevant Product Disclosure Statement.

Who runs the site

Fundfinder NZ is an independent New Zealand-focused project. We aim to keep the site free by using display advertising and, in future, carefully chosen affiliate or referral partnerships. Those arrangements never influence fund ordering, comparison results or calculator outputs.
