Who we are

Fundfinder NZ (kiwisaverfundfinder.org) is an independent educational website that helps New Zealanders compare KiwiSaver funds and plan for retirement. We are not a financial advice provider and we do not hold your KiwiSaver money.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the rights you have under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Email address — if you choose to join our updates list, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. That is the only personal information we ask for directly.

Usage information — like most websites, our hosting and analytics tooling records technical information such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type. This is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

We do not collect your KiwiSaver balance, IRD number, bank details, or any information you type into our calculators. Calculator entries stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

How we use your information

We use your email address only to send you the KiwiSaver updates you asked for. We do not sell, rent or share your email address with third parties for their marketing.

Aggregated usage information helps us understand which tools and guides are useful so we can improve them.

Cookies and advertising

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and learn more at aboutads.info/choices.

Our calculators and fund finder do not require cookies to work.

Where your information is stored

Email subscriptions are stored securely in our cloud database. Some service providers we use (hosting, email delivery, analytics) may process data on servers outside New Zealand; we take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it to a comparable standard.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe option. To be removed immediately, or for any privacy question, contact us at privacy@kiwisaverfundfinder.org.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown below.
